Sauna
A process monitor for macOS and Linux. Your CPU in the menu bar or tray at a glance, and every process on a page in Chrome when you want the detail.
Downloads for macOS and Linux are on their way.

What's new
At a glance
On a Mac, the CPU sits in the menu bar as a figure that holds still. On Linux, the tray icon is a thermometer that fills as the CPU climbs. Either way, the menu lists the five busiest and five largest processes, each one a click from Quit.
The detail, in Chrome
Open details opens a page in a Chrome window of its own: the last hour of CPU, memory and load, and every app with its processes beneath it, so Chrome's dozens of helpers add up to one Chrome. Filter by name, PID, port or command, and stop your own processes from the same row.
What it points out
- Hog a process that has held half a core or more for five minutes, like a browser tab stuck at full tilt since breakfast.
- Stray a development server of yours, Python, Node, Wrangler and the like, still listening hours after the terminal that started it was closed.
Stays on your machine
The page is served by Sauna itself, on your own computer, so nothing about your processes leaves it. A fresh key at every launch means no website can read it, and command lines are only read for your own processes.
